Tear-Down Procedures
In an effort to alleviate congestion in the Park which plagues us every year, the Art League of Marion is implementing a new "tear-down" procedure for the end of the Festival.
Please read the following tear-down procedures carefully as they will be enforced.
At the 5:00 p.m. end of the Festival, you must completely tear down your booth and have everything ready to pack into your vehicle before you will be allowed to drive into the Park.
When you are ready to pack your vehicle, please locate a volunteer on the walkways who will check that you are ready, and will then give you a ticket which will allow you to enter the Park with your vehicle. Please note that you will not be allowed to drive your vehicle into the Park as you have in the past until you obtain this ticket.
As you arrive at the gate, please present your ticket, at which time you will be allowed to enter the Park. We ask that you pull your vehicle as close to your booth as possible, and please do not block the walkways. Others are as anxious as you to pack and go home.
Parking Passes
Much to our distress, we learned that during the 2003 Festival, our parking passes had been duplicated and these forged passes were being used to enter the Park without paying for an additional pass.
The Art League of Marion pays the State of Virginia for each parking pass that is forwarded to Exhibitors prior to the Festival. We do not cheat the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, and we do not condone such conduct from our exhibitors or from our guests. Please do not do this. We are allowed the use of this beautiful setting for our Festival, and we do not want to jeopardize our relationship with the Park.
