The Art League of Marion
What is the Art League?
A group of individuals dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of the arts including fine art, fine craft, theater, music and dance.
What do they do?
The Art League of Marion sponsors monthly programs which are free to the public. They sponsor the annual Hungry Mother Festival in cooperation with the Virginia Department of Parks and Recreation. The endorsement and encouragement of cultural activities in our schools are also important to the Art League. The Scholarship Program each year offers scholarships to deserving students who will be pursuing higher education in the arts.
Do I have to be an artist?
No. If you love and enjoy the arts, you are qualified to become a member.
When do they meet?
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at Smyth-Bland Regional Library, 118 S. Sheffey Street, Marion, VA 24354.
